Football / Carling Cup: Arsenal Drawn Against Burnley

LONDON: Burnley of the second tier English Championship will face Arsenal at home as a reward for putting Chelsea out of the League Cup following yesterday’s quarter-final draw.

Arsene Wenger’s youngsters must travel up to Turf Moor with a place in the last four at stake while Manchester United in contrast will have home advantage as they meet Blackburn, coached by old United favourite Paul Ince, at Old Trafford.

In the other encounters, holders Tottenham, conquerors of Liverpool and revitalised under Harry Redknapp, will travel the short distance to Championship side Watford and Stoke City will take on Championship outfit Derby County.

The ties will be played on Dec 2-3.
